The Atherton A.130 represents the pinnacle of trail frame engineering. Combining additively manufactured titanium lugs with bespoke carbon fibre tubes on the proven DW6 suspension platform, the A.130 is a frame built without compromise — lighter, stiffer, and more precisely tuned than any traditionally manufactured chassis.
Key Features:
- 3D-printed titanium lugs — each one additively manufactured to exact specifications
- Bespoke carbon fibre tubes bonded to the titanium lugs
- DW6 suspension platform for efficient pedalling and progressive descending
- 130mm rear travel — the ultimate trail platform
- Adjustable chainstay length for personalised handling
- ISCG 05 chain guide mount
Additive Manufacturing:
Each titanium lug is 3D-printed from titanium powder, fused layer by layer using an electron beam. This process creates structures that are impossible with traditional manufacturing — optimised for strength exactly where it is needed, with material removed where it is not. The result is a lug that is both lighter and stiffer than a cast or machined equivalent.
DW6 Suspension:
The DW6 suspension platform, designed by Dave Weagle, delivers a pedalling efficiency and anti-squat characteristic that keeps the A.130 composed under power while providing progressive, bottomless performance on descents. The suspension rate is carefully tuned to complement the 130mm travel for trail riding.
Specifications:
- Rear travel: 130mm
- Suspension: DW6
- Lug material: Titanium (additively manufactured)
- Tube material: Carbon fibre (bespoke)
- Chainstay: Adjustable (Short / Regular / Long)
